2024 MUSIC SCHEDULE + LINEUP

✰ 7 PM — Doors & DJS begin

Head to Cheer Up Charlies in Austin’s Red River Cultural District for The Front Festival’s Annual Music Showcase. Our night opens with sets from DJ Wyldflower outdoors and DJ Majesty of Divinity indoors. Future Front’s DJs-in-residence (DJ Dreams, knstalgia, DJ Veneer, DJ Violeta and Lavender Thug) will then take over the indoor stage to spin us through the rest of the night, while the live music showcase continues outside.

✰ 8:00 PM — PAM REYES

To kick off the night’s live music showcase, join Pam Reyes on Cheer Up Charlies’ outdoor stage for music from her new EP Temporary (released August 2024). In Temporary, Reyes reflects on experiences of transience and diaspora, blending singer-songwriter sensibilities and soft folk pop.

✰ 9:00 PM — NEVER

Following Pam Reyes, post-punk band Never takes the stage. Fronted by Emily Ng, Never features members of favorite Texas bands Luna Luna, Nevil, Thelma & the Sleaze and Nuclear Daisies. As a collaborative outfit, the band emblemizes the best of Austin’s live music scene and then some.

✰ 10:00 PM — promqueen

After Never, pop rap performance artist promqueen will take us all from day to night, with a reproduction of her latest EP. As a second-generation, queer Vietnamese-American artist, promqueen’s effortless blend of genre and influence have made her a rising name in Austin’s music community, with each performance building on the last.

✰ 11:00 PM — p1nkstar

Last but not least, the queen of electro-pop herself. As a former festival headliner (and curator), p1nkstar returns to The Front Festival 2024 for an iconic DJ set. (She previously screened GIRLS LIKE US at The Front Festival in 2021, as well as curated showcases in 2018, 2019 and 2022.)

✰ ALL NIGHT — Good Food & Cocktails

BEHIND THE FRONT FESTIVAL

The Front Fest is an end-of-summer festival, featuring performances, films and creative experiences curated by Future Front.

Hosted annually in Austin, we put Texas women and LGBTQ+ artists of all kinds at the front of our lineups. Every year, over the course of a weekend, we celebrate the power of community and fundraise for Future Front’s Creative Future of Texas Fund. Formerly known as BABES FEST, the festival has seen more than 5,000 guests and showcased more than 500 women and LGBTQ+ artists since 2016. Learn more at thefrontfest.com/why.

In 2024, the festival returns for four days (August 29 to September 1) at The LINE Hotel Austin pool, The Contemporary Austin—Laguna Gloria and Cheer Up Charlies.

If you are interested in becoming a partner this year, please email us at hello@futurefronttexas.org.
