A HAPPY HOUR & OPEN HOUSE AT THE FUTURE FRONT HOUSE
As a special treat for The Front Festival 2024, we’re opening The Future Front House for a limited viewing of Bring It From the Back, a Texas ballroom archive honoring the cultural impact of queer nightlife by local photographer and artist Scam Likely.
Come through for the show’s closing reception and a happy hour at The Future Front House on Saturday, Aug. 31.

ABOUT THE SHOW
BRING IT FROM THE BACK will be on view THROUGH September 1, 2024.
Featuring a curated selection of portraits and scenes from ScamLikely’s archives, Bring It From The Back celebrates the profound impact of ballroom and queer nightlife on Central Texas arts and culture.
Documenting the transformational power of House of Lepore, as well as a number of voices shaping Austin, Bring It From The Back gives flowers to voices defining queer joy in the here and now.

The Future Front House is located at 1900 E. 12th Street within the historic East 12th Street District.
WHERE TO PARK: The Future Front House has a large paid parking lot across the street and is directly accessible by bus line. There’s also free parking up and down the street and in surrounding neighborhoods. Carpool, if you can!
WHAT TO DO: The Future Front House is located within the historic East 12th Street District, which is home to many other creative spaces and businesses, as well as organizations like Six Square. Explore the District while you’re around.

All Future Front sessions are currently held online, outdoors or in open-air spaces where quality air flow is possible, ADA compliance is prioritized and assisted mobility devices can be utilized.
All Future Front sessions follow capacity limits to reduce crowding of any kind.
All guests are expected to follow local health and safety guidelines for gathering, as well as practice consideration with the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and any other legal, mind-altering substances.
