① CREATIVE WORKSPACE ASSISTANT, SPRING SEMESTER 2026
PART-TIME
LOCATION: AUSTIN, TEXAS
START DATE: LATE JANUARY 2026
$15 per hour at 12 hours per week (time commitment ranges based on student candidate’s schedule)

Role Description —
The Creative Space Assistant collaborates directly with Future Front’s team to support communications and storytelling at the organization’s headquarters and East Austin community space. This role reports to the Executive Director and Program Events Coordinator.
This position’s day-to-day tasks and roles include supporting and studying communications around Future Front’s four core programs, like:
Assisting with facility tasks, inventory management and welcoming visitors at The Future Front House (75% of role)
Developing interviews and storytelling materials around Future Front as an organization, as well as its program participants
Supporting communications tasks around Future Front’s donor, member, visitor, program participant and volunteer coordination
Learning from Future Front team members and Future Front’s community onsite at two events per month
Role Qualifications —
This role requires at least 12 to 15 hours in office per week at Future Front Texas’ headquarters at 1900 E. 12th St. 78702 or partner venues in Central and East Austin. Only for students in UT's Work-Study program. No previous experience is required.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate a values alignment with Future Front’s mission, vision and Be A Good Human Guidelines, as well as an interest in arts, culture and creative industries.

Who We Are
Homegrown in Austin, Future Front is an award-winning cultural space and exhibition series—with women and LGBTQ+ creatives at the front. As a 501c3 arts & culture nonprofit, we produce two community-led exhibitions, The Front Market & The Front Festival.

Presented by Future Front, Heavy Heavy Heavy is a solo show from Austin-based multidisciplinary artist Emily No Good.
This year’s Texas-local lineup featured 35 different musical acts and films, all from independent artists, musicians and filmmakers shaping Austin and Central Texas beyond. Each night converged to present a future-forward lineup that ultimately brought 900 guests together across generations.
