We dream of a Texas where women & LGBTQ+ creatives thrive—where we are connected to ourselves, our cultures and our communities.
OUR projectS AIM TO MODEL THREE KEY principles…
-
Through our cultural space in historic East Austin, as well as our exhibitions like The Front Market and Festival, we platform independent creatives of all kinds, providing spaces where you can distinctively support and discover their projects, as well as nurture your own creativity.
-
We believe we all need third spaces that nurture our imagination, creative growth & relationships to community and culture.
And in places like Texas, women and LGBTQ+ creatives distinctively need access to spaces that center connection, education, resource-sharing and opportunities that combat industry-wide barriers. All of our community programs are led by creatives and artists themselves—intersectionally designed to meet emerging needs.
-
The culture of our communities—i.e. the spaces and places we call home—are shaped by the imagination and experimentation of independent creatives, artists and small business owners.
Our programs reflect back the spaces we want to see in the world—spaces that encourage curiosity, value art and creativity, welcome experimentation, center diverse identities and amplify culture change.
