INVASIVE SPECIES 2 is spreading to the cinema.

For one week, INVASIVE SPECIES 2 takes over East Austin favorite Hyperreal Film Club for a series of feminist horror screenings exploring desire, identity, belonging, the body, transformation, survival, and what happens when the things that haunt us refuse to stay hidden.

Presented in partnership with local nonprofit and literary taste-makers Host Publications, INVASIVE SPECIES 2 welcomes writers and artists whose practices explore identity, survival, womanhood, and the complicated ways we move through the worlds around us.

Join curator Alexis Hunter for a closing tour of INVASIVE SPECIES 2. Following the tour, take a morning walk on the block and visit Future Front’s neighbors within the African-American Cultural Heritage District on 12th Street.
