On September 1, join us on The LINE Austin pool deck to close out The Front Festival —with a daytime version of our classic Swim Sessions, featuring Future Front resident DJs.

WHAT TO EXPECT

✰ 1 TO 5 PM CT ✰ Day Party DJ Sets

Head back to the pool deck for DJ sets by Austin-based artists in Future Front’s residency, DJ SUPERMCN4STY & DJ Fairy Aries. Hang by the pool or sport a suit. It’s-the-weekend energy encouraged (but not required). Bring your faves. All bodies are pool bodies.

HOW TO ATTEND

One-day passes* for festival pool parties are $15. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

*Passes are free for Future Front members.

All donations throughout the festival will directly support our Creative Future of Texas Fund, a $5,000 fund for emerging women and LGBTQ+ creatives in Texas.

MEET THE LINEUP

Supermcn4sty, privately known as Dante (he/they), is an open format DJ and producer based in Austin, Texas. Dante began perfecting his craft in 2017 within a few years time his experience has expanded to spinning at the hottest bars and nightclubs throughout Texas, weddings, private events, holding radio and club residencies such as Love Theory (2023), SZR (2022-2023), and Slow Jams Sunday (2021). To debuting in 2022 at Boiler Room in Houston, Texas, playing at music festivals such as SXSW in 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024 as an official artist and organizing successful benefit events for local/national non profits such as Creative Action ATX, Communities United Against Police Brutality, and Austin Black Pride. With Supermcn4sty as your sound selector—whether it’s variations of underground club music, house, dance, hip hop, r&b, dancehall, variations of latin or any genre—expect precision, musical exploration, and an unbeatable energy/sound.

DJ FAIRY ARIES (she/they) is a DJ based in Austin, Texas. “Frolic with the last Austin Native. Let's keep Austin lit of our records.“

 

BEHIND THE FRONT FESTIVAL

The Front Fest is an end-of-summer festival, featuring performances, films and creative experiences curated by Future Front. Hosted annually in Austin, we put Texas women and LGBTQ+ creatives of all kinds at the front of our lineups.

Over the course of a weekend, we celebrate the power of creative community and fundraise for Future Front’s Creative Future of Texas Fund. Formerly known as BABES FEST, the festival has seen more than 6,000 guests and showcased more than 550 women and LGBTQ+ artists since 2017. Learn more at thefrontfest.com/why.

PREPARE YOUR VISIT

VENUE LOCATION + ACCESSIBILITY — All Swim Sessions will be held at The Line Hotel Austin pool deck, which is located at 111 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, Texas 78701. The venue is wheelchair-accessible and all activities will occur on the ground floor.

PARKING — We highly encourage utilizing rideshare or carpooling as there is limited valet parking available onsite. This venue is easily accessible by Austin public transportation, too.

WHAT TO BRING — Bring a suit and sunblock! Towels provided by the hotel.

OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES —

  • All FFTX staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values.

  • All events will be held in primarily outdoor and open-air spaces or have access to proper ventilations and well-maintained A/C systems.

  • Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind.

  • All guests are required to practice mutual respect and follow APH’s COVID-19 Guidelines, which currently include:

    • At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk.

    • People with potential COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask, regardless of a negative test.

    • People with a positive COVID-19 test and/or not fully vaccinated should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are fully vaccinated and no longer at risk.

Since 2017, our strategic collaborations with the hotel—from art installations to community swims to The Front Festival—have generated $75,000+ in support for independent women & LGBTQ+ artists in Austin. Forever featuring emerging creatives, consider this series a love note to their work and an intro to the city we call home.

The Line Hotel Austin is located in Downtown Austin, Texas. Once home to a jazz club that broadcast live on local radio in the late 1960s, the hotel is part of Downtown history and holds a cultural legacy as unique as the city itself. Today, you can find a little bit of everything HERE—art, food, design—even nature.
