Whatโ€™s Here This Year

A crowded outdoor pool with many people swimming and lounging. There are large trees, umbrellas, and outdoor furniture around the pool area, with some people standing or sitting in the water and others relaxing on the pool deck.
  • As is annual tradition, Future Front programs Swim Sessionsโ€”a five-part poolside series in celebration of The Front Festival 2025โ€”at The LINE Hotel Austin pool and Cantero bar.

This yearโ€™s sessions featured renowned Austin vinyl and open-format DJs, including: DJ Wyldflower, DJ HoneyPocket, DJ Helios, DJ Beaujolais and DJ Dana Scully of Queer Vinyl Co.

  • For the first time in Summer 2025, Future Front partnered with The LINE Hotel Austin to host a two-night creative retreat for Central Texas artists in the heart of downtown Austin.

Known for its legacy of supporting artists and integrating creativity into the guest experience, The LINE Austin provided the perfect backdrop for a community-focused approach to creative visibility.

Together, we created an alternative retreat experienceโ€”removed from the everyday rhythm and everyday life to retreat with intention.

Through strategic art installations in the lobby, community swims on the hotelโ€™s pool deck and support for The Front Festival, the program has generated $80,000+ in support for independent creatives and collectives.

Emerge is an official Future Front Public Space Partnership.

Alongside partners, Future Front pioneers unique, community-based models for cultural programming and place-making initiatives in all kinds of spacesโ€”from museums to city streets to public parksโ€”around three core pillars: Creative Community-Building, Creative Wellness and Creative Belonging.

Over the last decade, we have collaborated directly with like-minded companies and organizations to bring expanded versions of our programs and community design frameworks to the public. We regularly co-found, design, curate and manage a range of public place-making programs with partner organizations, like Pride Picnic.
