How To Ice Dye With Cindy Popp And Bumble

To celebrate our Summer Season, we’re hosting a free ice-dyeing workshop with Bumble IRL and Visit.Org at our headquarters.

Led by Austin-based artist Cindy Popp, you can come through to help upcycle some of our merch, as well as dye any of your own well-loved tees.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • A two-hour workshop, where you’ll learn all about ice-dyeing

  • An opportunity to support Future Front by helping us upcycle some of our merch

  • A chance to dye your own tees, tanks and tops to take home

 

MEET THE ARTIST

Cynthia Muñoz (she/her) was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She has a professional and personal passion for gender and racial equity, community engagement and creative collaboration. She currently works for the Social Impact team at Indeed, is a Notley Fellow, and has been involved with Future Front since the organization’s very first meet-up in 2015.

Under the name Cindy Popp, she creates visual art inspired by fashion editorials, B movies and clowns. She lives on the East side with her partner and cat where they watch movies nearly every day. She also runs Skechers, a local drawing club free and open to anybody in Austin, at various venues around town.

 

PREPARE YOUR VISIT

We’re located at 916 Springdale Road Trailer No. 3 within the Canopy Austin Complex. Our trailer is catty-corner to Building 4, which is located within the back parking lot behind Sa-Ten.

WHERE TO PARK: Canopy has a large parking lot and is accessible by bus line. Carpool, if you can!

OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES —

  • All FFTX staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values.

  • All sessions are held online or in outdoor, open-air spaces. Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind.

  • All guests are required to practice mutual respect and social distancing, as well as follow APH’s COVID-19 Guidelines, which currently include:

    • At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk.

    • People with potential COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask, regardless of a negative test.

    • People with a positive COVID-19 test and/or not fully vaccinated should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are fully vaccinated and no longer at risk.
