Future Front is returning to The Line Hotel Austin to host Swim Sessions — a four-part poolside series, celebrating summer.

Come through on the last Thursday of every month to vibe alongside women and LGBTQ+ DJs, take a dip in the pool and enjoy a specially curated nighttime art market.

Swimming is optional. Mutual respect is a must. Swimsuits and its-the-weekend energy encouraged. Everybody and every body welcome.

Tickets are $10 and every cent will benefit community initiatives we care about. Capacity is limited.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT SESSION SIX

 

MEET THE DJ

DJ Supermcn4sty (they/them), privately known as Steph, is a nonbinary open format DJ, producer, and social media manager based in Austin, Texas. In 2017, Steph made their first bar residency at Ramos Sports Bar in Manor, TX. Several years into the game and their experience has expanded from bars to nightclubs, weddings, private events, livestreaming events such as Boiler Room and major music festivals. In 2019, Steph made their debut in the Austin nightlife through official SXSW showcases with Cannabis Now. Since then, Steph has been deeply ingrained with Austin queer nightlife and has even returned to SXSW in 2022 as an official artist.

Outside of music, Steph is a philanthropist, activist, and a graduate from Austin Community College with a degree in Music Business. They specialize in social media marketing, SEO, event coordinating, and graphic design. They currently work as the Social Media Manager for Shared Frequencies Radio, an internet radio station based in Madrid, Spain and Austin, Texas.

In 2020, Steph began organizing charity events benefitting local and national organizations. They have thrown successful parties through Shared Frequencies Radio benefitting musician disaster assistance programs such as Creative Action ATX, Red River Cultural District, and HAAM. Most notably, Steph has put together an annual Juneteenth fundraising events in 2020 and 2021 for Communities United Against Police Brutality and ATX Black Pride. These events raised over $1,000 for each organization.

At their core, Steph is a resilient, insightful, altruistic, and fun loving individual. They are determined to create a legacy with their name and energy! 

This series’ DJs have been curated by Future Front team member María Rivera-Felizardo.

 

HOW TO ATTEND

Tickets are $10 by donation (free for FFTX members and hotel guests). Your ticket includes your pool pass. You must reserve a ticket in order to attend.

All ticket proceeds will benefit community initiatives we care about. This session's benefitting project is our very own Creative Future of Texas Fund, a micro-grants program for women and queer creatives and small business owners in Texas.

PREPARE YOUR VISIT

VENUE LOCATION + ACCESSIBILITY — All Swim Sessions will be held at The Line Hotel Austin pool deck, which is located at 111 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, Texas 78701. The venue is wheelchair-accessible and all activities will occur on the ground floor.

PARKING — We highly encourage utilizing rideshare or carpooling as there is limited valet parking available onsite. This venue is easily accessible by Austin public transportation, too.

OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES —

  • All FFTX staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values.

  • All sessions are held online or in outdoor, open-air spaces. Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind.

  • All guests are required to practice mutual respect and social distancing, as well as follow APH’s COVID-19 Guidelines, which currently include:

    • At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk.

    • People with potential COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask, regardless of a negative test.

    • People with a positive COVID-19 test and/or not fully vaccinated should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are fully vaccinated and no longer at risk.
