THIS MEET-UP’S SPECIAL GUESTS

Nathaly Batista (she/her) is a life-long educator, consultant and improv educator. She loves to help people apply improv principles to daily life to become bolder, braver and take more risks.

This summer, Nathaly was a featured host within Future Front’s Community Clubs.

Chris Barias (he/him) and Angela Mathews (she/her) have a combined 35+ years of experience building and operating brands and publications.

Keep Looking Shop is Austin's one and only "newsstand," specializing in fashion and lifestyle magazines and artful zines from around the world. Photographers at heart, they opened Keep Looking Shop (located in east Austin) as a meeting place to discover new perspectives, source inspiration and generally inform how people live life day-to-day.

"Through the deep relationships we've formed with artists and publishers, we have curated zine and magazine titles that have deeply inspired our own work, style and interests. It is incredibly special to now share that with our community in Austin."

Keep Looking Shop is publishing a self-titled magazine to be released later this year. Come check the shop- located next door to El Tigre Coffee at 1614 E 12th Street.

Ana V Peralta (she/her) is a Principal User Experience Designer in FinTech, CSPO and User Experience Strategist based in Austin, Texas with almost 10 years of experience. Ana specializes in applying Design Thinking to develop website + web applications + mobile applications and product roadmaps to set them up for customer engagement and usability success.

Her latest venture is becoming the Founder of FLIT, an online platform serving as a visual guide that spotlights local, pop up vendors in the Austin area and their locations via a map on the homepage in hopes to connect Austitinies with the pop up vendor community better to encourage supporting and shopping in our own communities.

Eva (she/her) is an Austin-based linocut printmaker who runs Strawberry Milkweed Prints. She mostly prints on t-shirts, and her designs are inspired by folklore, nature and medieval woodcuts. When she's not creating art of mythological creatures she's writing and editing stories about Texas' own mythic (and often misunderstood) animals as the managing editor of Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.

Yvonne Uwah (she/her) is a self-taught photographer living in Austin, Texas. She began using photography out of a deep desire to connect with and acknowledge other people. Because of this, her work primarily focuses on portraiture and what emerges when investing time into relationships.

Olivia Komahcheet (she/her) is a music producer, live performer and Emmy nominated composer whose work spans within spaces of music, visual media and immersive art experiences. Collectively intertwining a multitude of soundscapes often integrating alternative/indie, experimental art pop and indietronica, Olivia has worked with top brands including Paramount Pictures, Apple +, PBS, Instagram, Ableton, Red Bull, Walrus Audio, Sundance, Square Register and Brooks Running with original music being heard on Netflix and Shudder TV platforms. Her original music has been married to films screened at National Museum of the American Indian Smithsonian, TIFF Film Festival, SXSW and is a 3 year platinum Producer on Timbaland's global music industry platform "Beatclub".

Megz Kelli (she/her) is a multi-hyphenate creative, filmmaker and one-half of the acclaimed hip-hop outfit Magna Carda based in Austin, Texas.

Notable for her eclectic musical style–a genre-defying blend of rap-meets-jazz-meets-R&B-meets- electronic—and for performing with live instrumentation, Megz Kelli draws inspiration from jazz, art, and literature.

Victoria Cardenas (she/her) was raised in Buda, Texas and now currently resides in Austin. She is a self-taught artist that primarily works with acrylic on canvas but is constantly exploring other creative methods such as murals, screen printing, block printing, and more! Her love for sharing art began with vending and meeting others that can relate to her art, as it gave her the courage to keep going creatively. Her art explores connection (and lack of connection) that is all around her; with herself & her own trauma, others, and nature. She explores these feelings through fun calming colors and shape. She believes it's important to find her relation to everything in existence no matter how big or small!

Ebony (she/her) is an Austin-based herbalist, birth worker, and the founder of June & Sage, an herbal wellness shop. Through her work as an herbalist, and Doula, she is creating safe spaces for communities to reclaim autonomy over their health and well-being. Honoring ancestral wisdom, Ebony is passionate about helping others reconnect to their wellness and traditional healing modalities. Most of her work includes leading herbal wellness workshops, and creating hand-crafted plant medicine and skincare, using traditional plant-based remedies passed down through generations. Her mission is to aid in the healing of communities by harnessing the power of nature to nurture overall well-being.
