As is annual tradition, we’re returning to The Line Hotel Austin to host Swim Sessions — a four-part poolside series, leading up to our end-of-summer celebration, The Front Festival.
COME THROUGH ON THE LAST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH TO VIBE ALONGSIDE LOCAL DJS AND TAKE A DIP IN THE POOL.
100% women and LGBTQ+ lineup. Tickets are $10 and every cent will benefit community initiatives we care about. Capacity is limited.

WHAT TO EXPECT
All bodies are pool bodies. Hang by the pool or sport a suit. It’s-the-weekend energy encouraged (but not required). Bring your faves.

MEET THE DJs
Gianna aka Gia aka knstalgia (she/they) is Bay Area born-and-raised, currently based in Austin, Texas. Growing up in the Bay Area, they were blessed from a young age to be surrounded by R&B, West Coast Hip-Hop, Rap, as well as Electronic/House music from her family, friends and culture around me. She has a deep love for music, community, expression and blending different worlds together and making sure everyone in the room feels empowered with one another.
Violeta Új aka Resident Psychic (she/her) is an artist from Cancun, Mexico, who—inspired by everything from Björk to Ivy Queen—believes music is a conduit for creation and a tool for self-discovery.
Outside of DJing, she also works freelance as an Art Director and Set Designer.
HOW TO ATTEND
Tickets are $10 by donation (*free for FFTX members and hotel guests). Your ticket includes your pool pass—and is required to attend.
Proceeds will benefit our very own Creative Future of Texas Fund, a micro-grants program for women and queer creatives and small business owners in Texas.

PREPARE YOUR VISIT
VENUE LOCATION + ACCESSIBILITY — All Swim Sessions will be held at The Line Hotel Austin pool deck, which is located at 111 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, Texas 78701. The venue is wheelchair-accessible and all activities will occur on the ground floor.
PARKING — We highly encourage utilizing rideshare or carpooling as there is limited valet parking available onsite. This venue is easily accessible by Austin public transportation, too.
OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES —
All FFTX staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values.
All sessions are held online or in outdoor, open-air spaces. Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind.
All guests are required to practice mutual respect and social distancing, as well as follow APH’s COVID-19 Guidelines, which currently include:
At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk.
People with potential COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask, regardless of a negative test.
People with a positive COVID-19 test and/or not fully vaccinated should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are fully vaccinated and no longer at risk.

Since 2017, our strategic collaborations with the hotel—from art installations to community swims to The Front Festival—have generated $75,000+ in support for independent women & LGBTQ+ artists in Austin. Forever featuring emerging creatives, consider this series a love note to their work and an intro to the city we call home.
Future Front is a 501c3 nonprofit, homegrown in Austin, Texas. We nurture spaces where women and LGBTQ+ creatives, founders and leaders can grow together. Currently, we produce The Front Market and Festival, host year-round workshops and meet-ups, as well as create resources for resilience in creative industries. You’re invited to join us, of course. The LINE Hotel Austin is located in Downtown Austin, Texas. Once home to a jazz club that broadcast live on local radio in the late 1960s, the hotel is part of Downtown history and holds a cultural legacy as unique as the city itself. Today, you can find a little bit of everything HERE—art, food, design—even nature.
