Following the premiere of Plan C at SXSW, join Future Front and friends for a femme and queer afterparty—featuring Austin acts Chulita Vinyl Club, Nicole Cardoza & Flora and Fawna—all to honor Texas abortion funds!!!

Featuring all-day resource panels, food pop-ups and an open bar at Vuka Bouldin Creek, come through to meet the film crew, hang with local and national advocates and show your support to orgs like Fund Texas Choice and Jane’s Due Process.

✰ 1 PM — Activism Market + Doors Open!

Following the premiere of Plan C at SXSW, our Day of A afterparty begins with intimate moments to connect (and donate to) the day's reproductive justice beneficiaries — Jane's Due Process, Fund Texas Choice and more.

✰ 1:30 PM — Performance by Chulita Vinyl Club

All-vinyl DJ set

✰ 2 PM — Abortion Education Resource Panel featuring Jane's Due Process, M+A Hotline, If/When/How: Lawyering Reproductive Justice & Plan C !

In this chat, experts will explore the landscape around abortion pill access by mail and share resources for legal information, medical support, and digital security for self-managed abortion. 

✰ 3 PM — Performance by Chulita Vinyl Club

All-vinyl DJ set

✰ 4:30 PM — Performance by Nicole Cardoza, the Black Girl Magician

In this intimate magic show, Nicole Cardoza will infuse joy, celebration and power into the day's discussion on agency and reproductive justice.

✰ 5 PM — A Conversation On The State of Sexual and Reproductive Wellness 

Join Wisp, It All Media, SIECUS: Sex Ed For Social Change and Plan C for a candid conversation on sexual and reproductive health.

✰ 6 PM — Performance by Flora & Fawna

Vuka Bouldin Creek is located at 411 W Monroe St, Austin, TX 78704.

WHERE TO PARK: There’s a small parking lot in front of building, as well as an additional parking lot on S 1st. Entrance next to Fresca's & residential-only parking in the neighborhood. Please plan to carpool and/or rely on public transportation for easiest entry!

IMPORTANT COMMUNITY NOTES + GUIDELINES —

  • All FFTX staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s guidelines and values.

  • All Future Front sessions are currently held online, outdoors or in open-air spaces where quality air flow is possible, ADA compliance is prioritized and assisted mobility devices can be utilized.

  • All Future Front sessions follow capacity limits to reduce crowding of any kind.

  • All guests are required to practice mutual respect and social distancing, as well as follow APH’s COVID-19 Guidelines, which currently include:

    • At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk.

    • People with COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are no longer at risk.

    • People with a positive COVID-19 test and/or not fully vaccinated should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are fully vaccinated and no longer at risk.

Day of A is part of a broader creative initiative by Future Front, the Texan Feminist Initiative.

To date, we’ve produced art films, thrown parties and hosted educational experiences alongside women and LGBTQ+ creatives—all to advocate for bodily autonomy in Texas.
