WHAT TO EXPECT

Welcome to Abundant Chill.

Begin with an after-hours exploration of the exhibition IN A DREAM YOU SAW A WAY TO SURVIVE AND YOU WERE FULL OF JOY, then head to the roof and connect with fellow art and music lovers from all over Austin. To kickoff our curatorial collaboration, we’ve invited Dreams out for a live DJ set, as well as local artists Tanya Zal and Swatcasso to showcase their work.

Enjoy complimentary drinks poured by Little Brother, too, featuring Austin favorites like LALO Tequila, Austin Eastciders and Topo Chico.

MEET THE ARTISTS

TANYA ZAL — Tanya Zal (she/her) grew up in upstate New York, where she completed her BFA. She has spent the last decade in Austin, TX working at non profit arts organizations and building a creative practice. She also offers community care as a full spectrum doula. Her work and play is driven by a curiosity of what makes us feel held, and the things that we hold close. Her ceramics are celebratory, surreal, and a colorful exploration of the creative process.

ECCO MUSICA (AKA DREAMS) — As an artist and DJ, Ecco Música’s (they/them) vibe couples eclectic chillness with grooves you can't shake. Also known as Drerams, they host five monthly residencies with online community radio stations, including Shared Frequencies and Hong Kong Community Radio. They also run “Old School Reggaeton night” three times a month at Cuatro Gato in downtown Austin.

SWATCASSO — Based in Austin, Texas, Swathi Konduri (aka Swatcasso), aims to create moods through her pieces, rather than deliver a specific message. She enjoys the subjectivity of art—and hopes you enjoy looking around and finding something you like.
