Staying True To Your Vision: OMG Squee And Sarah Lim

  • THE ZOOM ROOM Your Own Wi-Fi Wherever You'd Like To Be USA (map)

This month, we're exploring vision. What does it look like to take a little idea and turn it into something bigger than yourself?

Join us on Thursday, May 13, from 5:30 to 7 PM CT for a conversation with Sarah Lim of OMG SQUEE, a homegrown, family-owned kawaii dessert shop in Austin, Texas.

As one of our former craftHER Market vendors, she'll share how she went from macaron pop-ups to her own brick-and-mortar in the last three years.

This conversation is hosted entirely online. 👋 Free for members and $10 for the public.

Dually named after all things “squee” (the sound you make when you experience something delightable) and their beloved dog, Squeegee (RIP), OMG Squee is a true labor of love.

Sarah (she/her)—burnt out by the freelance photographer lifestyle—and Michael (he/him)—burnt out by a constant cycle of corporate layoffs—started OMG Squee out of their tiny home kitchen in 2016.

Blending her love of food, kawaii culture, and her Asian American heritage, Sarah sought out to make really delicious, gluten-free, Asian inspired treats that would delight the eyes, heart, AND taste buds.

Sarah's kawaii cute character macarons gained in popularity after two years of pop ups and farmer’s markets. The couple then expanded OMG Squee into its first brick and mortar in East Austin in Nov 2019. The pair still bake and make everything together each and every morning.

Now, so much more than just macarons, OMG Squee serves the best gluten-free and Asian inspired desserts and pastries in the area, made in-house, from scratch. And everything's 100% gluten-free.
