Metaphorical Community Garden: A Group Show

  • THE FRONT MARKET 7107 East Riverside Drive Austin, TX, 78741 United States (map)

Welcome to The Front Market’s first-ever art show.

This year, the market is an official Austin Studio Tour Stop, so we’re revealing a season-long public exhibition, Metaphorical Community Garden, within Ani’s Day and Night.

Curated in collaboration with Rachael Garbowski of Ani’s, the show features work by Future Front resident artists Anahita Bradberry, Calder Kamin, Chantal Lesley, Darcie Book and Steph Granillo.

The show will debut on opening day of The Front Market, November 12, 2022. Scroll for more details.

BEHIND THE SHOW

Metaphorical Community Garden is an exhibition of works from women artists in Future Front’s ‘22/’23 Creator Residency.

Exploring diverse textiles, materials and perspectives, each piece reflects the talent in our proverbial ecosystem—and the community web linking independent artists invested in care.

Metaphorical Community Garden will be on view atThe Front Market, which showcases women and LGBTQ+ creatives, designers, makers and artists from the Texas South.

Come through to unapologetically support what you want to see in the world. 🌱
