The Art of Self-Organization Workshop

  • #BBATX HQ 916 Springdale Road Bldg. 4 Unit 102 Austin, TX, 78702 United States (map)

On May 18 from 10 AM to noon at the #BBATX HQ, we’re hosting a special edition of our The Art of Self Organization Workshop in honor of our fourth anniversary.

Developed by #BBATX’s founder Jane Hervey, this goal-mapping exercise will give attendees the head space to identify their own values, mission and next steps, while sharing the values and model behind #BBATX’s current operations.

— meet the host —

Jane Claire Hervey is an artist and entrepreneur, living and working in Austin, Texas. Originally from Rio Hondo, Texas, her work is informed by history, wildlife, politics of space, romance and being a bad woman. She’s also the founder of #bossbabesATX (a support organization for women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community organizers) and actively works as a creative producer.

— how to register —

This workshop is $30, and all funds from this event benefit #BBATX’s fourth anniversary fundraiser. You can explore all of our fundraiser perks and events at bossbabes.org/anniversary.

— behind #bossbabesatx —

We’re a Texas-based nonprofit that amplifies and connects women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and organizers. We create space to share our crafts, catalyze multi-industry coalitions, promote intersectionality across disciplines, seek guidance and provide each other with practical and emotional resources. Anyone interested in our mission, core values, and initiatives are invited to participate—and learn more about how intersectional gender equality can improve their daily lives. We provide 1500 opportunities to women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community organizers per year. More than 15,000+ community members also annually attend our showcases, markets and dialogues—and in the last three years, our programs generated an additional $1million for the Austin economy. So, whether you apply to participate in one of our programs, attend our workshops, conferences and dialogues, or come out to a festival or market to support the community we’re building, you’re a member of this movement. All babes, all people, are welcome. :) Learn more at bossbabes.org.
