One of our goals with craftHER Market is to connect the creators in our community with customers, collaborators and ultimately other humans who respect the work they create. For this reason, craftHER Market is also a day to discover resources, learn from each other and talk about what it means to make.
At 2:00 PM on Oct. 23, we'll host a Q&A with:
Isadora McKeon — Director of Marketing & Communications at Bunkhouse Group
Amberly Washington — Founder at REVELRY and The Swoon Event
Rebecca Butler — Owner and Head of Operations at Queen for Dinner
Throughout the talk, the speakers will share their own stories about brand niche and how marketing narratives affect the way a business grows and changes. This talk is free, hosted inside Fair Market (so, open to the public!) and does not require an RSVP. Join us!
— About Our Speakers —
Meet Isadora McKeon: Isadora is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Bunkhouse, an Austin-based hospitality company with hotels and coffeeshops in Austin (Hotel San Jose, Hotel Saint Cecilia and recently-added Austin Motel, as well as Jo's Coffee), San Antonio (Hotel Havana) and Marfa (El Cosmico). Having worked with owner and creative visionary Liz Lambert for the past 10 years to help build Bunkhouse, Isadora has overseen the narrative voice and community activity of each of the brands.
Meet Amberly Washington: Washington founded Revelry, an East Austin creative event studio that crafts a variety of gatherings and The Swoon Event, a curated, intimated wedding show with pop-up presences in Austin, Dallas and San Diego. With a focus on supporting small businesses, Revelry brings intimacy, community and creativity to everything from large -scale events and markets to pop-up dinners and skill-based workshops. As for The Swoon Event, each venue and wedding vendor group is carefully selected by Amberly to reflect the creative community in that city.
Meet Rebecca Butler: Butler started her curated e-commerce site, Queen For Dinner, as a means to bring her customers only the best and highest quality small-vendor products out there. To make shopping "small" feel just as easy and as trustworthy as shopping at your favorite department store, Butler says she's "picky so you don't have to be."
