HOW IT WORKS:
The Big Community Flea is a weeklong garage sale and fundraiser, featuring goods by some of our favorite creatives in Austin and Texas beyond. You can shop online or RSVP to join us in-person at The Future Front House at the links below.

WHY WE’RE FUNDRAISING (& NEED YOUR SUPPORT):
We need your support, because we are one of the few 501c3 arts and culture nonprofits serving women and LGBTQ+ creatives and artists in Texas—and we only exist thanks to donations of $5 to $50 from community members like you. So, when you shop or donate at The Big Community Flea, you’re allowing us to:
Produce projects & programs that increase access to $100,000+ in opportunities for women and LGBTQ+ creatives in Texas
Welcome 20,000 annual visitors across free and sliding scale creative community markets, festivals and workshops in Texas
Work directly with 1,000 women and LGBTQ+ artists and creatives in our programs to bring forward projects that our values in Texas
Moreover, like many independent creative spaces in Austin, we were impacted by inflation and increases in expenses this year. Our organization alone has sustained $22,500 in unexpected costs across all of our programs due to rising rent and the effects of Texas weather on our events, our building and our production equipment. We are hoping to recover this unexpected $22,500 in costs through March 2024.
~ $10,000 in unexpected moving costs and repairs to our new building, including replacing doors, fixing leaks, restoring walls and removing mold
~ $10,000 in unexpected costs due to Texas weather-related closures at The Front Market, including nonrefundable equipment & venue rentals
~ $2,500 in unexpected A/C repairs
