Behind The LINE Austin Creative Retreat
For the first time this summer, Future Front Texas is partnering with The LINE Hotel to host a two-night creative retreat for Central Texas artists in the heart of downtown Austin.
Known for its legacy of supporting artists and integrating creativity into the guest experience, The LINE Austin provides the perfect backdrop for a community-focused approach to creative visibility.
Together, we are creating an alternative retreat experienceโremoved from the everyday rhythm and everyday life to retreat with intention.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT THE RETREAT?
ACCEPTED APPLICANTS WILL RECEIVE:
The retreat will run from August 1 to August 3, with an optional early check-in and pre-party on July 31. The general retreat schedule includes:

3 PM โ Check-in
6 PM โ Retreat Welcome Happy Hour
AUGUST 2
10 AM to 12 PM โ Free Time / Pool Time
12 PM โ Retreat Brunch
2 PM to 7 PM โ Free Time / Pool Time
7 PM โ Sunset Workshop
AUGUST 3
10 AM to 12 PM โ Free Time / Pool Time
1 PM โ Closing Retreat Brunch
All accepted applicants will receive complimentary stay at The LINE Hotel Austin for the weekend, as well as free access to all retreat programming.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
This retreat is co-ed. Artists, cultural workers and independent creatives of all disciplines are welcome to apply.
Priority will be given to applicants who are living and working in Central Texas.
Applications submitted after 11:59 PM on July 7 will not be considered.

THE LINE HOTEL AUSTIN
The Line Hotel Austin is located in Downtown Austin, Texas. Once home to a jazz club that broadcast live on local radio in the late 1960s, the hotel is part of Downtown history and holds a cultural legacy as unique as the city itself. Today, you can find a little bit of everything HEREโart, food, designโeven nature.
Future Front Texas
Homegrown in Austin, Future Front Texas is an award-winning cultural space and exhibition series led by women and LGBTQ+ creatives in Texas. As a 501(c)(3) arts and culture nonprofit, Future Front Texas produces year-round community-led programming, welcoming over 20,000 visitors annually. The organization hosts two exhibitionsโThe Front Market and The Front Festivalโas well as shows and workshops at its creative space in historic East Austin.
