PLAN YOUR VISIT

Distribution Hall is located at 1500 E 4th St, Austin, TX 78702—and operates as an event space and production studio. Originally constructed to house Austin's first German beer importer, this thoughtfully restored mid-century structure now features a 7,000 sq-ft studio warehouse, a 3,000 sq-ft open-air hangar, and a beautiful 7,500 sq-ft courtyard and lawn.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW: thefrontmarket.com/faq

WHERE TO PARK: Distribution Hall is located in the heart of East Austin. We recommend carpooling and/or utilizing public transportation, if you can, to be conscious of traffic and congestion for our neighbors and vendors! There are nearby bus stops available via CapMetro. If you choose to drive and park, there's metered street parking, as well as free parking in surrounding neighborhoods. You can also utilize nearby parking garages:

  • PMC Parking Lot (1413 ½ E 4th St., Austin, TX 78702) — The empty lot south west of Distribution hall (40 spots) is owned by Habitat for Humanity and is managed by PMC. Public parking fluctuates from $5 per hour to $16 per day.

  • Foundry I Parking Garage (1501 E 4th St., Austin, TX 78702) — The Foundry I parking (180 spots) faces the south side of Distribution Hall. Cars enter around the corner on Onion St., and the entrance on foot is at 310 Comal St. Public parking is a flat rate of $10.

  • Foundry II Parking Garage (1610 E 4th St, Austin, TX 78702) — The Foundry II parking (380 spots) is one block east of Distribution Hall at 1610 E 4th St. The pedestrian entrance is at 1600 E 4th St (facing Comal St.). Public parking is a flat rate of $10.

  • Plaza Saltillo Station — 12 parking spots for Plaza Saltillo on Onion Street face the north side of Distribution Hall and are free and open to the public! Directly behind the venue, they can be accessed from an unmarked one way street off Comal St.

WHAT TO DO: When you arrive at the market, you'll have plenty of vendors to meet, plus a chance to browse our curated food court. DJ sets, workshops and live art installations will rotate each day, too.

WHAT TO EAT/DRINK: The Front Market's food court is immaculate; if you can't find something at the food court, though, there plenty of restaurants and businesses within walking distance.

AVAILABLE LANGUAGES — ASL interpreters can be provided upon request. Si necesita traducción al español para participar en este evento, envíenos un correo electrónico a hello@futurefronttexas.org.

OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES —

  • All Future Front staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values.

  • Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind and all events will be held in primarily outdoor and open-air spaces or have access to proper ventilations and well-maintained A/C systems.

  • At Future Front events, all guests are expected to follow Austin-local health and safety guidelines for gatherings, as well as practice consideration with the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and any other legal, mind-altering or dangerous substances and objects. This also includes:

    • As Future Front strives to be a good neighbor, we discourage the use of tobacco products on the property of nearby businesses and residences, to improve air quality, throughout our events.

      • Tobacco use and electronic smoking device use are not permitted at any time within Future Front properties and event spaces at least 15 ft from entrances, exits, operational windows, or ventilation system intake vents.

      • Littering of tobacco-related products on the grounds or parking lots is also prohibited.

    • Concealed or open weapons and firearms (including handguns) are not allowed at any Future Front venues.

BEHIND FUTURE FRONT

Homegrown in Austin, Future Front is an award-winning cultural space and public exhibition series—with women and LGBTQ+ creatives at the front.

As a 501c3 arts and culture nonprofit, we produce two annual community-led exhibitions, The Front Market and The Front Festival, platforming independent artists and creatives across disciplines in Texas. Beyond our flagship exhibitions, we host seasonal shows and workshops at our creative space in East Austin, welcoming 20,000+ visitors per year.

Through these programs and a diverse network of partnerships, we invite the public (including you) to dream of a future where local art and creativity thrive in Texas—where we see ourselves and our cultures reflected in our communities.
