Powered by SisterSong and the Repro Uncensored Coalition in support of The Afiya Center, expect an evening of dynamic sets and talks by global and Texas-based artists, musicians, activists and organizers.

WHERE TO PARK: This event is located in downtown Austin and directly accessible by bus line. Downtown Austin will be traffic-heavy due to SXSW, so ride-sharing and carpooling is encouraged.
WHAT TO DO: Cheer Up Charlies is located within Austin’s historic Red River Cultural District. Walk up and down the block to explore venues that define Austin’s live music landscape.

OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES —
All Future Front staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values.
Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind and all events will be held in primarily outdoor and open-air spaces or have access to proper ventilations and well-maintained A/C systems.
At Future Front events, all guests are expected to follow Austin-local health and safety guidelines for gatherings, as well as practice consideration with the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and any other legal, mind-altering or dangerous substances and objects. This includes:
As Future Front strives to be a good neighbor, we also discourage the use of tobacco products on the property of nearby businesses and residences, to improve air quality, throughout our events.
Tobacco use and electronic smoking device use are not permitted at any time within Future Front properties and event spaces at least 15 ft from entrances, exits, operational windows, or ventilation system intake vents.
Littering of tobacco-related products on the grounds or parking lots is also prohibited.
Concealed or open weapons and firearms (including handguns) are not allowed at any Future Front venues.

CHEER UP CHARLIES IS AN EVERYBODY THEY BAR in downtown austin.
The only lesbian-owned bar in Austin, Texas, Cheer Up Charlies has been serving the Austin community a menagerie of indie live music, drag, performance art and all-natural cocktails for over a decade.
CHEER UP CHARLIES IS A MEMBER OF THE RED RIVER CULTURAL DISTRICT.
The Red River Cultural District (RRCD) is a worldwide cultural tourism destination and entertainment district located in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas. A 501(c)(3), the RRCD is managed by the Red River Merchants’ Association, a coalition of over forty local small businesses found within the District. Each year, the RRCD presents two annual district-wide live music festivals—Free Week and Hot Summer Nights—hat provide additional revenue to musicians, venue owners and service industry staff during slow seasons. Homegrown in Austin, Future Front is an award-winning cultural space and public exhibition series—with women and LGBTQ+ creatives at the front.
