ABOUT TUESDAY TWERK-OUTS
Tuesday Twerk-Outs is a fun, high energy (yet sexy) workout class! In these classes, we will go over basic twerk moves while slowly increasing to intermediate levels. Each class will be something different from focusing on shaking to New Orleans Bounce, to whining to afro-beats as well as twerking to our favorite American songs.
Why Twerk and Heal? Twerking is an ancient dance known as Mapouka that focuses on the hips, which is the carriage for wombs. Not only will will be improving skills, confidence, having fun and working out, but we will also increase the health of the womb.
WHAT TO EXPECT
✰ Meditation/embodiment practices. We will take a few moments to ground our bodies with deep breaths so that we may be present and listen to what it is our bodies need.
✰ The body of the class will be different each time! We may have New Orleans Bounce day where we learn the foundation of Bounce. One day may be afrobeats where we perfect our whine, and other days may be us twerking to good ol' American twerking music.
02/04/2025 — TWERK BASICS. Learning pops, shakes, walks, you name it.
02/11/2025 — NICE & SLOW. Think SEXY, while dancing and getting INTO THAT mode.
02/18/2025 — DANCEHALL. Exactly what it sounds like! Whining, bruking, pon de river!
02/25/2025 — NEW ORLEANS BOUNCE & FLOOR WORK. We'll be learning to pop, roll, isolate on the floor as well as shake down to Sissy Noby, Messy Mya, and other legendary New Orleans bounce artists.
✰ Empowerment circle and reflection. Ending the class where we bring community together, we celebrate each other and encourage one another to celebrate themselves in the way they choose.
about YOUR HOST
Ladi Earth (she/her), also known as Michaela, is a musician, recording artist and the creator of Twerk and Heal. She has been teaching twerk classes since 2014, starting at The University of Texas at Austin. Since, she has studied dancing and its liberation for women in Bluefields, Nicaragua, as well as the impact that gentrification places on dance communities.
Michaela’s own journey to self-healing started after having her down daughter during the pandemic in 2020. While going through depression, dance became a ritual and allowed her to heal her womb trauma in combination with wellness practices—like breath work, Tantra and erotic sovereignty—alongside movement-based community-building. From these experiences, Twerk and Heal was born in 2021. The project has received recognition from the City of Austin, as well as publications like SHAPE Magazine.
HOW TO ATTEND
Tickets are $15* and can be purchased through Twerk and Heal’s website.

Behind TWERK AND HEAL
founded by independent musician and performance artist ladi earth, TWERK and HEAL passionately integrates dance and Tantra, centering on the profound healing of the womb.
Recognizing it as a reservoir for emotions, our unique approach combines intentional movement, Tantra practices, and specialized yoni steams to guide women on a transformative journey.
Our dance classes celebrate the feminine form while consciously directing healing energies toward the womb. Through the wisdom of Tantra, we empower women to release stagnant energies, cultivate self-love, and revitalize their sacred space.
TWERK and HEAL offers more than dance; it's a transformative path to womb wellness. Join us in this empowering dance of healing as we twerk with purpose, unlocking the sacred potential within and fostering a life of harmony and abundance.
