Explore sustainable fashion and upcycling with Lucid Voyage.

On Saturday, February 12, our current resident creative Veronica Hood of Lucid Voyage Boutique is hosting a special workshop and free pop-up shop exploring sustainability and upcycling.

You can RSVP for one or both. 100% open-air and outdoors. Human-friendly. Dog-friendly. All are welcome. ๐Ÿ‘‹

*This event was originally planned for February 5 but was postponed due to inclement weather.

WHAT TO EXPECT

12 TO 1:30 PM โ€” UPCYCLING WORKSHOP โ€”

Starting at 12 PM CT, Veronica Hood of Lucid Voyage will lead you through a crash course in upcycling your wardrobe. During the workshop Veronica will demonstrate a handful of beginner friendly upcycling techniques, all easily completed by hand sewing. If you have no idea how to thread a needle, donโ€™t worryโ€”Veronica will be there to answer any questions you may have.

Upcycling techniques you'll learn:

  • cropping garments

  • embellishing

  • adding flare to a hem with feathers and fringe

  • patchwork detailing

  • changing buttons

What comes with your workshop registration:

  • Access to the open-air, outdoor workshop

  • Access to Veronica's second-hand trimmings and sewing supplies

  • A custom portrait from Lucid Voyage photographer Collin Findlay of you and your upcycled look

What you need to bring:

For this workshop you will want to bring an item from your closet that you have thought about saying goodbye to, but would like to show a bit more love.

2 TO 5 PM โ€” OPEN STUDIO + SUSTAINABLE FASHION POP-UP SHOP

From 2 to 5 PM CT, the Future Front headquarters will be open for a happy hour and pop-up shop with Lucid Voyage. Whether you attend the workshop or not, come by to discuss sustainable fashion, styling and custom design creation with Veronica, as well as bask in a little sunshine. Drinks and DJ'd vibes provided. All are welcome.

HOW TO ATTEND

The workshop from 12 to 1:30 PM CT requires a $10 donation, and the pop-up shop from 2 to 5 PM CT is entirely free. When you RSVP, you have the option to donate to our work. Every pledge made with your ticket will directly benefit the administration of our Creative Future of Texas Fund, a micro-grants program for emerging creatives and small business owners in Texas.
