Boss Babes ATX's New Name: A Community Town Hall

  • THE ZOOM ROOM Your Wi-Fi Wherever You Are USA (map)

On June 3 we announced our reopening with a new name: Future Front Texas.

We recognize this is big news. Although our name is changing and our mission will stay the same, we know that so many of us have and had a deep personal connection to the name Boss Babes ATX.

So, on June 21, we will be hosting a virtual community town hall meeting to reintroduce ourselves and explain the meaning behind Future Front Texas.

At 5:30 PM CT on Zoom, you can sit in on moderated conversation with our team. We'll go over our individual relationships to the new name, as well as our plans for the future. Thoughts and feelings of all sorts welcome.

If you want to read more about our name change, head over to latest blog post.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • a guided tour through the meaning of Future Front Texas, our new branding, as well as the process that led us here

  • a live Q&A with our board and staff members to answer any floating questions about our reimagined programs and the future of the org

  • an open space to express feelings, questions and concerns

BEHIND FUTURE FRONT TEXAS

Future Front Texas is a 501c3 nonprofit, homegrown in Austin, Texas. We started as a grassroots meet-up series called Boss Babes ATX (bbatx) in 2015.

We are run by a four-person staff and a network of amazing volunteers, each committed to showing up for the spaces we want to see in the world.

Alongside our members (like you), collaborators and partners, we nurture creativity, community-building and professional resilience in Texas. We cultivate spaces where women and queer creatives, founders and leaders can grow together.

Currently, we produce The Front Festival and Market, a year-round learning club, as well as multiple community funds and initiatives. Youโ€™re invited to join us, of course. You can learn more about how it all works, our team and what we do: futurefronttexas.org
