Something Good Sundays: A Pop-Up Shop With The Medicinal Melange

  • bbatx HQ β€” Trailer 3 916 Springdale Rd. Austin USA (map)

We need fresh air and a minute in the sun.

So, for the months of March and April, we're opening our little headquarters on Sundays for a series of pop-ups featuring women-owned small businesses from our craftHER box, as well as grassroots causes we care about.

It's recommended to reserve your visiting slot ahead of time. πŸ‘‹ We'll have a complimentary cocktail prepared for you, if you do.

As always, masks, social distancing and mutual respect are required.

β€” WHAT TO EXPECT β€”

From March 14 to April 11, our trailer will be open to the public every Sunday. You can stop in to:

  • meet a different woman-owned business each weekend

  • learn about one of our community org partners

  • sip a complimentary cocktail

  • grab your own craftHER box

  • view our current art installation by Xochi Solis

Here's our current pop-up schedule:

THE MEDICINAL MELANGE FROM ELIZABETH RYAN

Elizabeth Ryan (she/her) is the sole proprietor of The Medicinal Melange, a holistic vegan apothecary in South Austin. Elizabeth has been working with plants her whole life, but felt called to herbalism and aromatherapy when her daughter was diagnosed with PANDAS and total healing wasn’t happening with prescription medicines. The Medicinal Melange is focused on introducing herbal healing to the community and cutting out harmful byproducts often associated with western medicine. Elizabeth is a prideful South Austinite, skater, wife, the mother of an unschooler, co-runs CIB Austin, and works closely with local mutual aid organizations while finding creative ways to give back to the community.

β€” HOW TO GET THERE β€”

We headquarters at 916 Springdale Road within the Canopy Complex. Our trailer is catty-corner to Building 4, which is located within the back parking lot behind Sa-Ten in Building 2.

There's plenty of parking, and public transportation is always an option! If you're visiting us with a wheelchair or any assisted walking devices, please note that our trailer is wheelchair accessible and located on raised deck. If you have any concerns or expect needing assistance upon arrival, just shoot us a note at thebabes@bossbabes.org, and we are happy to help.

β€” HOW TO RESERVE YOUR VISITING SLOT β€”

It's recommended to reserve your visiting slotβ€”free or by donationβ€”ahead of time. (We'll have a complimentary cocktail prepared for you, if you do.)

To donate when you RSVP, name your own ticket price during checkout. If you can’t donate right now (times are swirly! we get it!), but you'd like to support our recovery efforts and the bbatx team, you can:
