Welcome to WORK โ a digital day of workshops and community-building for creatives and founders.
On Saturday, February 6 from 10 AM to 2 PM CT, you can tune in for a mini, virtual version of our biannual conference designed to re-engage your creative brain, examine your work values and help you set priorities for 2021. As always, weโll discuss business management, share leadership skills, explore healthy growth goals and reconnect with new and old friends.
Tickets are only $27 and include a free month of bbatx membership, as well as all session recordings. You can scroll for more information or register here.

Take the best practices of an incubator to foster creativity
Bring projects and ideas to the session, even if they are in fledgling stage
Identify long term thought/accountability partners
Share ideas with an audience for questions, feedback, constructive criticism, positive affirmation - a safe space to build on a creative foundation
Engage in design thinking
11:30 AM CT โ Examining Your Values In The Workplace
A follow-up conversation with equity educators Pamela Benson-Owens and Briona Jenkins on actionable, realistic next steps for pursuing conversations and change in the workplace around anti-racism. This is Part Two of a conversation they held with us in 2020, exploring personal and community approaches to anti-racism. You can watch that workshop for free here.
12:30 PM CT โ A Community Lunch Break
Weโll take a minute to Zoom out for lunch. You can step away, or stay online with us for some networking break outs, based on our How To Network Like A Human Being guide.
1 PM CT โ Launching A Skincare Brand in A Pandemic
Led by Troupe Beauty founders Chelsie Rose Kern and Jillian Ouellette, this session will look at how the two founders have adapted their brand and business model after a launch in June 2020. Theyโll share how they center financial self-care and social impact, challenge beauty industry norms and what it took to bring in more than $35,000 in revenue during their first six months, without outside investment.
All sessions will be recorded. As always, this program will center women, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC voices, and all are welcome to attend. To learn more about the values that guide our work, check our Be A Good Human Guidelines.
