On June 20 and 21, we’ll host craftHER Market (At Home), a digital marketplace to support women and nonbinary small business owners impacted by COVID-19.
Beyond stopping by to shop all weekend, you can also tune in for digital art demos led by Bethany Jane of The Aquariust, Chelsea Brooks of Gato Denim, and Mukthi Dasaraju of OHM ESSENTIALS. We’ll also be hosting a giveaway, launching our very first craftHER Market Box that’ll be available to purchase + other surprises. All genders and professions welcome. Come through. ~
— craftHER Market (at Home): SCHEDULE OF E-VENTS —
11 AM CT on June 20: Our virtual market opens at crafthermarket.com/stayhome. Once the page goes live, you’ll be able to scroll, shop and directly support the 60+ women and nonbinary makers in our craftHER Market Program that have been directly impacted by COVID-19. (The store won’t be live until then!)
11:15 AM to 12:00 PM CT: Time for our first art demo. :) Explore natural dye practices with resist techniques with Bethany of The Aquariust. These practices are an incredible way to utilize accessible resources in our homes to create beautiful one-of-a-kind textiles.
12:15 PM to 1:00 PM CT: Learn how to make and apply iron-on patches in our second demo of the day led by Chelsea Brooks of Gato Denim.
1:15 PM TO 2:00 PM CT: Mukthi Dasaraju of OHM ESSENTIALS will be teaching us how to make a DIY face mask from ingredients found right in your kitchen. For those that prefer to just buy a single product, she will also be showcasing the OHM ESSENTIALS Detoxifying Mud Mask.
11:00 PM CT on June 21: The shop closes and our digital giveaways end.

— HOW TO RSVP —
All events within our extended Stay Home Club series require an individual RSVP and can be attended for free or by donation.
To RSVP for events in the series, select one or all events you’d like to virtually attend. For every event you’re RSVPd to, you’ll receive a pre-event email at least 24 hours in advance, containing relevant links, schedule info and ZOOM meeting invitations.
To donate when you RSVP, name your own ticket price during checkout. If you can’t donate right now (times are swirly! we get it!), but you'd like to support our recovery efforts and the bbatx team, you can:
become a member when we launch our membership program later this year
or donate later. :)
— MEET THE PRODUCERS —
About bbatx (#bossbabesATX): We’re a Texas-based nonprofit that amplifies and connects women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and organizers. We create space to share our crafts, catalyze multi-industry coalitions, promote intersectionality across disciplines, seek guidance and provide each other with practical and emotional resources. Anyone interested in our mission, core values, and initiatives are invited to participate—and learn more about how intersectional gender equality can improve their daily lives. We provide 1500 opportunities to women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community organizers per year. More than 20,000 community members also annually attend our showcases, markets and dialogues—and in the last three years, our programs generated an additional $1million for the Austin economy. So, whether you apply to participate in one of our programs, attend our workshops, conferences and dialogues, or come out to a festival or market to support the community we’re building, you’re a member of this movement. All babes, all people, are welcome. :) Learn more at bossbabes.org.
BBATX’S VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING has been made possible by our year-round partners at bbatx. Without them, we’d be shuttering our doors. Thank you for supporting us.
