Join us on Sept. 7 at Ten Thousand Villages for a discussion-based shop talk with Arte For Elephants. In this FREE talk, the organization's leader Thyra Rutter will discuss how she turned a one-woman mission into a movement, while sharing other conservation success stories.

About Thyra Rutter: Rutter studied business at UCLA and has a degree in Fine Art from Otis College of Art and Design. She worked for many years in market research industry, getting her start in media analytics powerhouse Nielsen Entertainment and later as CEO of the firm, Accurate Field Operations. Former clients have included Microsoft, Warner Music Group, Sony Home Entertainment, Fox Home Entertainment, Major League Baseball and Toyota to name a few. In 2015 she founded Arte for Elephants, a social entrepreneurial venture aimed at generating funds for existing 503(c) charities through art sales and providing income to local artisans to provide humane alternatives to poaching and animal exploitation. For many years Thyra has also been a volunteer teacher with Senior Council of Retired Entrepreneurs (SCORE) where she taught "Market Research for Start Ups and Entrepreneurs" for many years!
