Future Front Introduces Downtown Austin Creative Retreat with The LINE Hotel for 50+ Artists Across Central Texas

---

As part of Future Front’s commitment to Open Creative Learning, we partnered with The LINE Hotel in 2025 and 2026 to host a two-night creative retreat for Central Texas artists and musicians in the heart of downtown Austin.

Known for its legacy of supporting artists, The LINE Austin opened its doors to 50+ artists over two years for a two-day artist residency experience.

Designed for an intentional retreat from the rhythm of everyday life, accepted applicants received complimentary stays at The LINE Hotel Austin, 1:1 coaching and peer mentorship, one full year of Events Membership at Future Front, as well as free access to all retreat programming.

2025/26 FOUNDING HOSTS:

Taylor Danielle Davis, Curator and Retreat Co-Host

Taylor Danielle Davis (she/her) is a curator, cultural arts producer, public art facilitator and landscape designer who has been producing artist centered events and exhibitions in partnership with private, non-profit and city arts organizations for the last ten years. By shaping curatorial concepts, building relationships with artists and aligning with the right partners, she creates programs and exhibits that engage communities, illuminate cultural themes, uplift emerging artists and open pathways for sustained artistic growth.

Jane Hervey, Retreat Founder and Host

Jane Hervey (she/her) is a community and brand executive, award-winning public curator and accidental arts nonprofit founder. Over the last decade, she has worked alongside executive teams to lead transformative campaigns and public programs for arts and entertainment orgs, philanthropic agencies, museums and parks, as well as rapidly growing, category-defining lifestyle, hospitality and tech brands across the US. From launching citywide music festivals in the heart of downtown Austin to rolling out repaired creative direction for 70-plus Y2K stores in malls across America, her work has thoughtfully bridged physical and digital, local and global for brands like The LINE Hotel, Red Bull, Bumble Inc., Waymo and more. Currently, she directs Future Front, a 501c3 arts nonprofit she founded in 2014, alongside her own consultancy, group work.

Seth Prestwood, Artist and Retreat Co-host

Seth is a multidisciplinary artist, born and raised in lower Alabama and at eighteen moved to Nashville, TN to attend Watkins College of Art, Design & Film, where he graduated with a BA in Fine Art with an emphasis in sculpture. For the last fifteen years, he has worked for several studios, including his own, producing murals, logos, sets, sculptures, and commissions.

“Creatives build our city’s culture. They shape the visual identity of downtown. They make our communities feel like home. This retreat is a love letter to the often invisible role artists play in our everyday lives.”

Annually, Future Front partners with The LINE Hotel to amplify emerging artists and independent creatives living in Central Texas. The LINE Austin’s Creative Retreat is part of The LINE’s GET HERE program and ongoing partnership with Future Front.

Since 2017, our strategic collaborations with the hotel—from art installations to community swims to The Front Festival—have generated $75,000+ in support for independent artists in Austin.

Forever featuring emerging creatives and local talent, the partnership has become a love note to the growth of their work and a friendly introduction to the city we call home.
