MEET THE DJ

Y2K (@Y2Kmusic) is a performance, music and installation artist, whose work moves freely across different realms of theatrical nightlife performance, media production and performance art. Their work explores themes of queer stigma, trauma and sexual liberation. In their multimedia performances, they usually embody a queer version of the Y2K Virus/Millennium Bug. In the past, Y2K’s work has been exhibited nationally at Roots and Culture Contemporary Art Center – Chicago, The Museum of Human Achievement, ATM Gallery and Fusebox Festival. Additionally, performing under p1nkstar, Inc., Y2K has performed for OUTsider Fest, gAyCL Music Festival, Contrast Film Festival, Stargayzer Festival and has been billed with Charli XCX, Alok V. Menon, and Dorian Electra among others.

This series’ DJs have been curated by Future Front team member María Rivera-Felizardo.
